Riverboat Gamblers

The Riverboat Gamblers album in question is entitled To the Confusion of Our Enemies, and really is quite good, despite an admitted slick, radio-friendly sound, but I guess Victoria disagrees. This exchange is off, of course. Victoria actually put in Minor Threat, I think, or something to that effect. Fiction is stranger than truth, as they say.

Anyhow, in her defense, radio-friendly-as-uncool really does have an expiration date, doesn't it? It's about ten years from what I can tell. Look at, I dunno, off the top ofmy head, look at Dear You by Jawbreaker. Everyone hated that album until two years ago, and now everyone keeps telling me it's their best record.

As such, I do what I can not to let overly slick production values hinder my enjoyment of a given record. It's hard sometimes, but I'll overcome. I am strong.
